ORNMM1 Half-Day A (Morning) ISTANBUL MARVELS

Departure from hotel and visit to St. Sophia Museum which is one of the great architectural marvels of the ancient world. We continue on to the Hippodrome, the sportive and political center of the Old City to see Egyptian Obelisk, Serpentine Column and German Fountain. Afterwards, we visit the Blue Mosque, facing St. Sophia and famous for its delicate blue tiles, and unique 6-minaret design. We will then browse around the exciting Grand Bazaar, a maze of over 4000 tiny shops selling gold, jewelry, leather and fine carpets.

ORNMM2 Half-Day B (Afternoon) OTTOMAN RELICS
Departure from hotel and visit the Rustem Pasha Mosque, built by the famous architect Sinan. We then visit Topkapi Palace, seat of the Ottoman Empire for four centuries and visit the Treasury. (Except Tuesday)

ORNMM3 Full-Day EAST AND WEST

ORNMM4 Half-Day D BOSPHORUS TOUR
Departure from the hotel for a visit to the Spice Bazaar where we will experience the smells of cinnamon, cloves and thyme rising from every store, the same smells that filled the air over 400 years ago. We then embark on a scenic tour of the Bosphorus, the natural waterway that divides Asia from Europe, passing palaces, castles, palatial homes, and the two magnificent suspension bridges.

ORNMM5 Half-Day E TWO CONTINENTS
Before we cross the Bosphorus Bridge, we visit the majestic Dolmabahçe Palace, residence of latterday Sultans of the Ottoman Empire, with 285 rooms and a 4.5-ton glass chandelier. On the Asian side we visit Camlica Hill which is one of the highest points in Istanbul offering breathtaking views in all directions. (Except Monday and Thursday)

ORNMM6 Full-Day BOSPHORUS & TWO CONTINENTS
A combination of tours D and E with lunch at a fine restaurant. (L) (Except Monday and Thursday)

ORNMM7 Full-Day PRINCES’ ISLAND
Departure from hotel and arrival to port where we embark our boat for a cruise of the Marmara Sea to the Princes’ Islands. We stop at Buyuk Ada, the popular summer resort with sandy beaches and pine trees. This was also the Pleasure Island of the Byzantine Princes. Then we will go on a horse-drawn carriage tour of Buyuk Ada and see the traditional wooden houses that cover this island. Some free time for you too. (L)

ORNMM8 Evening/Night ISTANBUL BY NIGHT
You will be picked up from your hotel and taken to an exclusive restaurant for dinner. A live floorshow will include Belly Dancing and Anatolian Folklore singers and dancers. (D)

ORNMM9 Full-Day GREEN BURSA
Departure from hotel to catch the ferry boat to Yalova. Drive to Bursa enjoying the idyllic scenery. After lunch we visit Ulu Cami (Grand Mosque) the Green Mosque and Mausoleum, the old Silk Market in the Covered Bazaar where you can buy Turkish towels. Late evening, return to Istanbul by ferry and transfer to hotel. (L)

ORNMM10 Full-Day IZNIK / NICEA
We leave the hotel and arrive in Iznik by way of Iznik Lake. In Iznik we will visit the Haghia Sophia Church, the Roman Theatre, City Walls and the Archaeological Museum. Lunch will be held at the lake side restaurant. Return to Istanbul. (L)
